FoxTown Cantu made it to the Eurocup eighthfinals by downing PAOK Thessaloniki 78-70 at home in Last 32 Group J on Wednesday. Cantu finished Group J tied with Limoges CSP for second place, each with a 3-3 record. Both teams exchanged 11-point home wins, so the next tie-break criteria - the overall difference, which allowed Cantu (+5) to be second and sent Limoges (0) to third place. Limoges CSP refueled its Eurocup Eighthfinals hopes with a 68-79 road win at PAOK Thessaloniki. The result also ended PAOK’s hopes of reaching the next stage. The game was close throughout and a single point separated the teams with four minutes to go, but Limoges went on a late run to take charge for good.
