Langford: “Don’t worry about us, we will ok”

13/02/2015

PAOK BC Kevin Langford in his own personal Blog in the official web site of the Greek Basketball League, wrote very interesting things about last week with the team in and out the court…

“Another week has gone by and I'm back. So it's been a tough couple of weeks for us. Going back to this past Saturday we lost to Αris again. I could say all the typical things like we underestimated our opponent, they wanted the game more, and blah blah blah. But the truth is that these losses had to do with us not respecting ourselves as a team. Sometimes we have an "underdog" attitude instead of a "big dog" attitude. Looking back on some of the amazing games we've played against some really good teams there is no reason we shouldn't play at that level every game. Especially in the Greek championship. The difference between good teams and better teams is consistency. Don't worry about us we will ok. At the end of the day we have to remember that even the worst team can win a game. And this time they won two.

Moving along to my favorite subject: Obi. So I found that Obi has a thing for beer. He got upset when I wouldn't give him any of mines. Like really upset. It was pretty funny. But made him understand that he wasn't old enough which basically means I didn't google if dogs could drink beer and I didn't want to share. Anyway moving on to more things about Obi. It seems that he has a crippling fear of trash bags lol. Full trash bags not empty ones. We are going to work on getting over that this week.

So we left to go to Italy on Tuesday for our last Εurocup game. The trip started off on a sour note during the plane ride to Athens from Thessaloniki. Man the plane was shaking and dropping all over the place. I will admit I was a little scared but then I looked across the aisle and saw Tom who was really scared and then I started to laugh. After that the trip was smooth. Playing in Cantu's gym is tough. They are a good team at home and we hung in there but couldn't pull it out in the end. That game marked the end of Εurocup for us. It's bitter sweet. Bitter because we want to continue in the Εurocup but sweet because it allows more time for us to rest and recover. No matter what I'm proud of our team's performance in the Εurocup.

Now we are back in Thessaloniki preparing for Drama. Now is the time for us to get to work and get back on track. Nothing else to say about this game. It's one we need.

One last thing. I'm watching orphan black and the killing now. Two great shows that I recommend.

Hopefully you will hear from next week
