Michalis Liapis was born in Thessaloniki on March 11, 1995, plays the guard position, began playing basketball from E.O. Stavroupoli and joined PAOK in 2009. He has played with all development teams of the club, while is a main member of the junior team of PAOK, at the same time participating the Men’s team and belonging to the roster of the U-19 national team. He has also played for the National cadet team, where he was the captain and played for the U-16 Eurobasket that was held in 2009 in the Czech Republic.
He won the 3rd ranking place of the HEBA Legue with PAOK for the 2013-14 season and the 6th place of the U20 Eurobasket that took place in Crete in July 2014.
