Jake Andrew Odum was born on February 11, 1991 at Terre Haute, Indiana, he is 1m.93 and is a point-guard. He began his career from the South Vigo High and then studied at the Indiana State University. During the 2013-14 season Jake Odum graduated from Indiana State having played 32 games (and a total of 134 in four years with the NCAA), averaging 32,3 minutes per game, 13,3 points per game (46.2% at 2-pointers, 31.4% at 3-pointers and 77.2% at free throws), but also with 4.2 rebounds per game, 4.4 assists and 0.9 steals.
Jake Odum participated the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, where Nikos Stavropoulos saw him for the first time, while he also played six games with the Indiana Pacers during the Summer League.
