The 2015-16 season has actually begun today with the Eurocup draw that was held in Barcelona and Kostas Charalampidis commented on the group PAOK participates as well as on how the situation is being shaped.

 

“When you play for such an important competition like the Eurocup, you bear in mind that you are going to have tough games to play and tough trips as well. I believe that this concept is going to prevail in terms of building this season’s roster, so as to come up with the most competitive team possible for the 2015-16 Eurocup season. It’s very early for more elaborate comments, since teams are still shaping their rosters, however, I would say that Besiktas is a strong team that represents the always upgrading during the recent years Turkish basketball, while Lietuvos Rytas is among the best known names in European basketball. Russian teams are always opponents to be considered and we have two in our group, Zenit and Saratov and the group is completed with a Hungarian team that I personally don’t know, but they are their country’s Champions and that says enough. Just like my team, PAOK, I have also personally played in the past only against Lietuvos Rytas. I have very vivid memories and I will always remember the 2005 ULEB Cup final in Charleroi as one of the most important games of my career”.
