The game between PAOK and Unics Kazan was decided at overtime. PAOK lost 86-91 to the mighty Russian team in a game that led Soulis Markopoulos to many positive conclusions.

PAOK began the game very well, with Odum organizing and stealing balls and managed to gain a 7 points lead (15-8) at the 4th minute of the game. Playing a tight defense and making good offensive choices, PAOK even led by 12 (20-8) and maintained the lead till the end of the first quarter (25-19).

PAOK controlled most of the game, but Unics pressure was very intense in the second half. At the end of the third quarter, the Russians gained the lead, the game was really exciting and was decided by small details. Kaimakoglou sent the game to overtime practically with a buzzer beater (75-75). PAOK, although at some point trailing 75-82 succeeded in coming back to the game which could have been led to a second overtime, but the three Tsochlas tried did not find target.

VAUGHN'S INJURY

PAOK lost Julian Vaughn, who left the game just a little prior to the end of the prorogation, when he got elbowed by White, hence not being able to continue the game. The bump on his forehead worried PAOK's staff, but Vaughn was feeling better after the end of the game and followed the team back to the hotel with no signs of further problems. His participation in tomorrow's game is doubtful.
