PAOK - Istanbul BB: 73-64
Useful conclusions for yet another game for Soulis Markopoulos, this time from PAOK’s victory 73-64 against Istanbul BB, in a friendly game that took place at the PAOK Sports Arena.
PAOK did not begin well into the game and was trailing by 10 (4-140 before the first five minutes of the game were played. Despite the improvement of the team and the solutions offered in offense by Saloustros, PAOK only managed to close in 14-20 at the end of the first quarter.
With better offensive choices and a tighter defense, PAOK took the lead for the first time at 15:30’’ (26-25) following a basket by Vaughn and maintained it till the end of half time, with Swann tying the game 36-36 with a three. The rest of the game followed the same pattern, with PAOK however significantly improving its three point percentages and after leading 54-53, went on to lead 69-61 with two threes by Langford and practically sealed the fate of the game. The difference for PAOK was up to 12 points (73-61).
Kostas Charalampidis did not play the game due to knee problems.
